I've been working in the web mines since 2005, in games and interactive media before that. I've worn designer, developer, and manager hats, on projects small and large. I've seen a lot. I've learned a lot. And - this is key - I keep learning.
My mission is to create highly satisfying experiences by drawing on a deep knowledge of time-honored design principles and the latest web best practices. I believe that giving your users a great experience will leave them with a great feeling about your brand, and turn them into loyal customers. I'm comfortable implementing my own (or others') designs as a front-end dev, and I'm intimate with the Drupal platform.
I'm currently available for full-time, part-time, or contract work, either remote or onsite in the North Bay. My ideal position is designer for a publication site.
In addition to my web work, I'm a gigging singer-songwriter, an amateur roots-music historian, and a very occasional music promoter. I live on a half acre at the edge of the town of Sonoma, California, with my wife, two young sons, cats, dogs, chickens, and goats.
